Build A Soccer Squad FAQ
Straight answers to what people actually search for about this game — legitimacy, card systems, codes, and the details that aren't obvious from the official Roblox page alone.
Is Build A Soccer Squad legit and fun?
Yes — it's a real, actively developed Roblox experience by the Bloxheed group, not a scam or a copycat cash-grab. As of this check it has over 55 million visits, 52,800+ favorites, and an 85% like ratio, all pulled directly from Roblox's own game statistics. It's a card-collector at heart: open packs, build a Starting XI, chase Chemistry bonuses, and push into Cup Mode — closer to a FIFA Ultimate Team style loop than a traditional soccer sim. It's still labeled Early Beta, so expect occasional server restarts around updates and some rough edges.
How many players are in the card pool?
The official in-game description advertises over 1,000 collectible players spanning from 1970 to today. Some third-party summaries have quoted a 1958 starting point instead, but we couldn't confirm that figure anywhere, so we're going with the official "1970 to today" wording.
What do GB and SB cards mean in Build A Soccer Squad?
GB and SB are a confirmed card category — Bloxheed's own update notes mention "3 New GB and 2 New SB Cards" — but no official or fan source we checked has published what the letters actually stand for. If you see a guide confidently spelling it out, treat it as a guess rather than a confirmed fact until Bloxheed clarifies it.
How does Chemistry work?
Chemistry comes from links formed between adjacent players in your lineup, drawn in-game as coloured lines — green is the strongest link and grey the weakest, with four steps in between. What no source settles is which shared attributes create that line: Bloxheed has never documented Chemistry (the official Roblox description doesn't mention it at all), and the independent guides give three incompatible answers — shared tags, nation-and-league only, or matching each card to its printed position. Every guide does agree on one point: a fully linked lineup can out-perform a higher-OVR one with no links at all. None of them publish a bonus value, so treat any specific number you see quoted as invented.
What OVR do I need for Cup Mode?
The figure everyone quotes is a 93 OVR average across your Starting XI, and it's the number worth planning around — but you should know where it comes from. Bloxheed's official game description doesn't mention Cup Mode at all, and none of the established outlets we check publish an entry number; 93 traces back to a single third-party guide. The reward end is better sourced: Game Rant states you unlock 105+ OVR cards after winning cups, though it gives no specific number of wins, so treat the widely-repeated "five tournaments" as community reporting rather than confirmed. Either way, squads that barely clear 93–94 tend to lose early — 100+ OVR is the practical target.
Are there any working codes right now?
Yes — five, as of our last check. UNIVERSE (50 Rerolls, 50 Refreshes) and CONSOLE (+25 Rerolls, +25 Refreshes) are both printed in the official Roblox game description itself, which makes them as confirmed as a code can get. LIMITBREAKER (+25 Rerolls, +25 Refreshes), DOUBLE (+20 Rerolls, +20 Refreshes), and the milestone code 500kvisitsAND1000ccu round out the list. We re-check every code daily, so the codes page is always the authoritative version of this answer. Codes you might see floating around like CUP or BLXHEAD are not real — they have never appeared in any verified source and should not be trusted.
Does Build A Soccer Squad have a Discord server or Trello board?
No official Discord invite or Trello board exists as of this writing — the game is still in Early Beta and Bloxheed hasn't set either up. Your best official sources are the Roblox game page itself (updates get written directly into the game description) and the Bloxheed Roblox group. See our dedicated Trello page for alternative ways to track updates.
How do I redeem codes?
Open the game, tap the CODES button near Rewards and Quests at the bottom-right, type the code exactly as written (codes are case-sensitive), and hit ENTER. If a brand-new code doesn't register right away, leave and rejoin a different server — new codes can take a few minutes to sync everywhere.
What is a Captain card and how do I unlock one?
Captains are earned by completing squads rather than pulled from packs — that much every source agrees on. Past that, they split. PCGamesN, the one established outlet that covers Captains at all, says you unlock one by completing select teams from 2002 onward, and quotes no rating. Community guides instead describe two tiers, both rated 99 OVR: a standard Captain from a full 2026 squad, and a Premium Captain from 2002 World Cup squads. Since Bloxheed has never documented Captains, treat the 99 OVR figure and the two-tier split as community reporting — and note that the one outlet that does cover it ties Captains to 2002-onward teams, not to a 2026 squad.
Still Have a Build A Soccer Squad Question?
If your question wasn't covered above, it's likely one of the details that hasn't been confirmed anywhere yet — like the exact meaning of GB and SB cards, or the full Game Passes list, both of which we're still tracking down. Check the wiki hub for the full set of guides, or the codes page for the current active codes.
